New York University (NYU) Steinhardt offers the MS and PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics. The MS prepares students to become dietetic practitioners or administrators in health care, community, and private practice settings; food and nutrition specialists; or nutrition educators and counselors. Master's students can specialize in Clinical Nutrition or Foods and Nutrition. The 40-credit Clinical Nutrition option meets registration eligibility requirements of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Students with RD credentials already can pursue the 34-credit Clinical Nutrition option. The Food and Nutrition concentration is for those with credentials in the health professions who are interested in advanced training in this field.
